Celebrate Women's History Month...with photographs

Admit it. You've been looking for a way to celebrate Women's History Month, and if you're also in the mood for looking at some great photography, we've got just the ticket: the Professional Women Photographers show at Macy's Herald Square, opening this week.

To add to the festive mood, the show will begin with a reception on Thursday, March 3, 6-8 pm

The exhibition is juried by Karen Marshall, a renowned freelance photographer who specializes in documenting American social issues, and according to the press release, its aim is to exhibit the work of women both inside and outside the home.

"In this Women’s History Month exhibition at Macy’s Herald Square, we recognize the strengths of women by celebrating their advancement outside of the home, and honoring the importance of their work within it," the press release says.

Stay tuned to the NYIP blog for a review, coming next week.
